When I originally saw the trailer for Iron Man, I thought it looked like cinematic disaster. I had visions of Daredevil and the Hulk all over again. I fully expected bad CGI, a poorly written script, and characters that I just couldn't manage to care about. So, I was more than a little reluctant to see it, even when good reviews later came pouring in.
Yesterday was rainy, so I took a gamble and gave the local theater some of my money. The result? I was shocked!
It was actually a good movie. There was a real script, real actors, and--though not perfect--they clearly put some real effort into the CGI. Character development, humor, and physics at least good enough that I could maintain my suspension of disbelief.
Good job Hollywood. See what you can do when you actually try.

Weekly Totals (5/10)
Monday - Tennis 30 minutes
Saturday - Bicycling 16 miles
It was a mostly a rainy week, but the weather Saturday was perfect. It was a great day for biking. There was a map up at the end of the towpath on Harvard Ave. that showed the proposed route that would extend it up to the lake. It will be awesome when the towpath is complete. It is too bad it is taking so long. The completion date is 2014. I'm hope I'm not too old to ride it by then.

I had a nice ride on the towpath during the weekend. Everything has really greened up. I did the northern part, mostly paved. Still, the bridges provide a little bit of a workout. I think I still need to play with my rear brakes. They may be rubbing a little when not engaged.
